Tengku Farith Rithauddeen is the CEO of SKALI. SKALI is familiar in IT industry and it's an
e-business specialist in this country.
His father is government minister and his mother is entrepeneurs. He has six siblings. When he is still in schooling, his mother has told and trained him about the business especially in financial management by rent the room of their house to others student.
He went to high school in Ottawa, Canada at the age of 13. His parents felt that international exposure would stead their children well. Graduate from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1992 and came back to join Commerce International Merchant Bankers (CIMB) as a corporate finance executive.
How it all began.
he starts exposure to IT in the 80's using an Apple II to play flight simulator games.He read books and magazines about computers and learnt how to do some basic programming using the BASIC language.Because of his exposure in IT before this, while in CIMB he has been ask by the CEO RObert Cheim to prepare his PowerPoint slides.He also learnt how to use spreadsheets for financial modelling using Lotus 123.It is new for him but it show him how much technology could be used to improve productivity.Azmi Ahmad who he met at CIMB is his business partner in SKALI.
